Steven I. Adler, BS, Licensed Adjuster, is the founder and President of Melsar Risk Management Services, Inc., with corporate offices located in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. Melsar provides TPA services to numerous self-insured entities and alternative risk programs including the Physicians Indemnity Risk Retention Group.
Mr. Adler has nearly 35 years of executive experience in risk and claims management. His current consulting activities cover hundreds of health care organizations nationwide, and include professional and general liability, mediation resolution, structured settlements, and litigation management. He is a national lecturer on Healthcare Risk Management and Claims Management.
Mr. Adler is the coauthor of the first edition of the American Institute of Medical Law Healthcare Risk Management Curriculum, has been a contributing author for Healthcare Risk, Inc., Newsletter and is the co-author of the Claims Adjuster’s Perspective on Nursing Home Cases (Nursing Home Litigation: Investigation and Case Preparation: 2nd Edition). He is a member of the Florida Medical Malpractice Claims Counsel, Inc. Mr. Adler is a 1976 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus.
