Stephen Meyer, FCAS, MAAA

Steve is a Senior Vice President and Actuary at Alterra’s U. S. Reinsurance division.  His specialties are in medical malpractice and excess casualty.  Steve has over 25 years of pricing and reserving experience in the property/casualty industry.  He began his career at Fireman´s Fund, leaving there in 1997 to be the chief actuary for Hudson Insurance Group´s medical malpractice division.  Steve joined Max Re in Bermuda in 2005 and returned to the U. S. when Max merged with HarborPoint to form Alterra in 2010.

 

Steve is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society, and Member of American Academy of Actuaries.
