Philip G. Clay

 Phil is a Senior Vice President, the Professional Lines business development specialist, and an Account Executive for specific Gen Re Treaty clients.  Phil joined Gen Re in 1983 as an underwriter in the Corporate Underwriting department. He transferred to Treaty marketing in 1984. His past responsibilities include Treaty Account Executive and manager of Treaty marketing activities in the West region, the development of Gen Re’s approach towards Workers’ Compensation, Workers’ Compensation Market Segment Leader, E&S Market Segment Leader, and Treaty Regional Manager for Canada.  Prior to joining Gen Re, Phil was a Casualty underwriter in the Business Risk department at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in their Dallas regional office and a Casualty Facultative underwriter with Scor Reinsurance Company, Dallas, TX.
