Peter Kezirian

Peter Kezirian is the Senior Vice President for Corporate Strategy & Strategic Development for the Cooperative of American Physicians, which, through its sister entity, the Mutual Protection Trust, provides medical professional liability coverage to more than 11,500 California physicians.  Mr. Kezirian is responsible for identifying solutions to the liability risks inherent to the practice of medicine.   He oversaw the formation of CAP’s captive carrier and serves as its General Counsel.  Prior to joining CAP, Mr. Kezirian served in California Governor Pete Wilson’s administration as the General Counsel for the Department of Corporations, which oversaw more than half of that state’s economy.  Before entering the public sector, Mr. Kezirian practiced corporate law with the international law firm of Debevoise & Plimpton and is a graduate of the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and earned his law degree from the University of Southern California.
