Michael S. Victoroff, MD

Dr. Victoroff is an Associate Clinical Professor at the U. of Colorado School of Medicine. He has 30 years of experience in medical informatics. In 1992 he developed the “Taxonomy for Medical Errors” to classify adverse events. He is a member of ASTM Subcommittee E31 on Healthcare Informatics, and the Committee on Serious Reportable Events of the National Quality Forum.
He is Chief Medical Officer at Parity Computing, which specializes in natural language processing for science and healthcare. He is also CMO of Lynxcare, which creates certified Personal Health Summaries for patients with complex conditions.
He practiced family medicine and obstetrics for 19 years and was named “Colorado Family Physician of the Year” in 1996. He has been a Medical Director for Aetna and an Investigator for Clinical Toxicology, Ltd. He has published numerous articles on bioethics, medical computing, managed care, medical errors and patient safety.
