Laura Curtin

Laura began her insurance career just after earning her B.S. degree from Western Illinois University.  She was trained at Liberty Mutual where she worked for her first four years in the industry handling all lines of property and casualty claims.

 

Subsequently, Laura joined Interstate National Corporation.  Working there for seventeen years, she handled claims nationwide specializing in Professional Liability coverages.  As Vice President and Claim Director, Laura was responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the Medical Professional Liability Claim Department.

 

Laura joined The Doctors Company and the Midwest Regional Office in March 1999 as Claim Director.  She was promoted to Regional Vice President in 2007.  In January of 2009 Laura joined the Home Office Claim Staff as Vice President and Claims Compliance Officer.

 

Laura has been a national speaker on subjects such as Coverage, Litigation Management and Bad  Faith Avoidance to groups such as the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, Crittenden, Eagle International, The Harmonie Group and The Defense Research Institute along with various bar associations and physicians groups.
