David Scott is a Vice President of the Special Casualty unit of New York based Transatlantic Reinsurance Company. David is a member of the Healthcare team and his responsibilities include management of treaty and facultative underwriting. He specializes in the underwriting and management of Medical Malpractice including coverage for Hospitals, Physicians, Long Term Care Facilities and Managed Care Organizations. David has been underwriting professional liability lines for over 21 years.
David joined Transatlantic Reinsurance in February of 2004 after having spent over thirteen years in the retail underwriting market. His experience includes underwriting numerous financial insurance lines including Directors & Officers Liability, Fiduciary Liability, EPL, MPL and various Internet-related coverages. David started his insurance career with AIG in NY in 1990 and spent nine years with CNA in Chicago, NY and London. David received a Bachelor of Arts in Government & Law with a concentration in Economics & Business from Lafayette College in Easton, PA.
