Barbara Rebold, RN, MS, CPHQ

Ms. Rebold has over 30 years of experience in health care. Ms. Rebold has worked with ECRI Institute since 2005 directing Insight Assessment and Consulting Services and the ECRI Institute Patient Safety Organization. Prior to joining ECRI Institute, Ms. Rebold was Vice President, Quality Management for Health Partners of Philadelphia, an award-winning, not-for-profit, hospital-owned HMO, with over 150,000 Medicaid and Medicare members in the Greater Philadelphia area. She was responsible for providing Quality Improvement leadership to the Department of Medical Affairs and the company overall, including strategic planning, HEDIS, NCQA accreditation. She also served as Vice President, Clinical Services and Director of Disease Management and Special Needs/Case Management at Health Partners. Ms. Rebold has over 20 years’ experience in all areas of quality management, including utilization management, disease management, patient safety, service improvement, and medical management. She served as Director of Quality Management for over 6 years for a national commercial and Medicaid HMO as well as manager of Quality Management for 2 years for a large regional insurer. She was also Director of Quality Review at a large community teaching medical center in the Philadelphia suburbs. She is a nurse with clinical experience as a nurse manager for a small community hospital critical care unit. Ms. Rebold serves on the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Association for Healthcare Quality. She currently serves as an evaluator for the Journal for Healthcare Quality and has served as a member of the Annual Conference Planning Team of the National Association of Healthcare Quality. Ms. Rebold has lectured for professional organizations and alliances as well as academic courses.
