Alex J. Barker is Administrative Director for the Private Diagnostic Clinics, PLLC at Duke University Medical Center (“PDC”). His responsibilities include the Clinical Operations for the faculty practices. Alex joined the PDC in 2010. Prior to joining the PDC, Alex spent 10 years at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast, first as the VP General Counsel and later as the VP of Operations. Alex has been involved in insurance and risk issues throughout his career in healthcare.
Alex received his Master of Health Care Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his JD from the Widener University School of Law, and his Bachelors of Administration from the University of Connecticut.
